About this route
Toplodge sits on the escarpment above Oliviershoek Pass in the northern Drakensberg, reachable only by a steep 4x4 access track, with farm mountain trails of varying difficulty, indigenous forest and a private gorge. Trails grade roughly 2-3 in dry conditions and 3-4 in the wet. Three self-catering cottages accommodate guests on site.
