How we handle your details.
Who we are.
This site is run by Opposite Lock South Africa, supplier of premium 4x4 products and accessories. Contact: info@oppositelock.co.za, 011 697 0001.
What we collect.
If you choose to request a trip sheet or a quote, we collect your name, email address, your area, the route you were looking at, and — if you filled it in — which gear from that route's checklist you already have. We don't collect anything personal if you just browse the routes without submitting a form.
Why we collect it.
We use your details to email you your trip sheet, to connect you with an Opposite Lock fitment centre partner in your area if you've asked for a quote, and — only if you've ticked the marketing box — to send you occasional Opposite Lock news and offers.
Who we share it with.
Your enquiry is shared with the fitment centre partner you're matched to so they can contact you. We use trusted service providers to run this site and our mailing list (database hosting and email platform); they process your details on our behalf and may store them outside South Africa with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it.
Quote enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for our business records. Marketing subscriptions last until you unsubscribe — every email has an unsubscribe link.
Your rights.
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent at any time, or object to direct marketing. Email info@oppositelock.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (enquiries@inforegulator.org.za).
