About this route

A ±620 km permit-controlled overland route tracking the Orange River through the Northern Cape's mountain desert, sold as two packages: Pella-Vioolsdrift (330 km) and Vioolsdrift-Alexander Bay (290 km). Trail camps have no power or ablutions; fuel only at Pofadder and Alexander Bay, cell reception only in villages. Full self-sufficiency required.
