About this route

A roughly 30 km trail network climbing to the 2,240 m Matroosberg peak, with a 7 km circular summit route, a river-bed trail and a practice obstacle course. Trail fee R250 per vehicle plus R50 per person, payable at the farm, with camping and self-catering accommodation on site. Low range is essential and it is one of the few SA trails regularly driven in snow.
