About this route
A historic gravel pass on the R351 between Seymour and Whittlesea, begun by Andrew Geddes Bain in 1854, climbing almost 700 vertical metres to a 1,622 m summit. The lower half runs through pine plantations and forested ravines; the upper half is rocky, rutted and prone to rockfalls. Often combined with the nearby Devil's Bellows and Mitchell's passes.
