About this route
A ±210 km unpaved through-route between Willowmore and Patensie crossing the Baviaanskloof Mega-Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sedans can reach the reserve gates, but the central reserve section is 4x4-only, with steep narrow climbs and multiple concrete-causeway river crossings. Normally driven over two days with camping or lodge stops.
