A roughly 3,000-ha shifting white-sand dune field inside the City of Cape Town's Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve, the closest legal dune-driving venue to Cape Town. Self-drive 4x4 access is by day permit bought at the gate office; guided operators also run sessions under permit. The dunes are a conservation area with strict zoning.
